Nourish Yourself
with Warm Foods

In Traditional Chinese Medicine food therapy, warming foods help support the body during the colder months.“

Incorporate nourishing soups, stews,
and herbal teas into your diet to provide comfort and sustenance. These foods not only warm you from the inside out but also support your body's natural healing processes.

Stay
Hydrated

“Dry winter air can cause dehydration without even realizing it. Best to drink water room temperature or warmer."

Drink water throughout the day to support the functioning of your immune system and overall health. Herbal teas can also provide nourishment and hydration while helping to balance your body's internal environment.

Prioritize
Sleep

“I tell my patients and family all
the time that sleep is your  most important appointment to schedule for the day.“

Schedule sleep and set a timer on your phone calendar.Ideally 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night allows your body to repair and rejuvenate.

Reduce
Daily Stress

my patients to engage in moderate exercise most days of the week to improve circulation and boost immune function."

Practice stress-reducing techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or hobbies to lower stress levels, as chronic stress can weaken your immunity.

Socially Connected

Wash
Your Hands

“We hear this (washing hands) so much it can sound like a cliche. It is not. It is still key to warding off common winter illnesses.”

Regularly wash your hands with soap and water, especially before eating or touching your face, to prevent the spread of germs.
